Tottenham Hotspur’s search for an attacker has been a frustrating one ot say the least.
However, in recent days, it appears as if things are headed in the right direction.
Various sources have confirmed that the Lilywhites are locked in talks to sign Savinho from Manchester City.
And now, David Ornstein reports that Tottenham want not one but two Manchester City players.
Tottenham plotting Savinho-Omar Marmoush double deal
He wrote on X: “Tottenham Hotspur working on double deal to sign Savinho & Omar Marmoush from Manchester City.
“THFC aiming to land both 22yo Brazil winger + 27yo Egypt forward as key targets to strengthen attack – not done but talks with MCFC advancing.”
Savinho has been reliably linked with the club for well over a year now, so Ornstein’s report isn’t surprising in that sense.
As for Marmoush, his name has been mentioned a few times as a target, but De Zerbi and co have actually pressed ahead with a move, which is quite telling.
Tottenham’s move for the Egyptian could also signal that their pursuit of Cody Gakpo from Liverpool is over, as Marmoush is also a versatile forward who can play out wide or lead the line.
