Tottenham transfer news as massive Richarlison update emerges

Tottenham Hotspur have transformed their squad this summer under Roberto De Zerbi.

It’s been a summer of change for the Lilywhites as six new players have come in, while key first-team stars like Djed Spence and Cristian Romero have departed.

Another important player whose future remains in doubt is Richarlison.

And now, Alasdair Gold of Football London has delivered an elaborate update on his situation.

Tottenham won’t sell Richarlison for cheap

The report states that the Brazilian striker is wanted by Flamengo, while Everton and Benfica have also been credited with an interest.

His contract expires next summer, but Tottenham have the option to extend his deal by one more year, putting them in a commanding position.

The Lilywhites aren’t willing to sanction his sale on the cheap and still feel he has a bit of a role to play under De Zerbi.

An excerpt from the article reads: “His future will be decided in the coming weeks, with De Zerbi looking to sign new attackers before the window closes on September 1.

“Richarlison continues to find the back of the net, but whether he would remain the Italian’s go-to centre forward is less certain.”

With Tottenham in talks to sign both Cody Gakpo and Savinho, it appears as if they won’t be against parting with Richarlison if the right offer comes along.
