Tottenham Hotspur have splashed the cash this summer, having spent nearly £230m on six new signings.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side, however, are yet to add to their attacking department and it goes without saying that they’re lacking there.
Earlier in the summer, De Zerbi spoke about a transfer bomba that could please Tottenham fans, but since his comments, we haven’t had any transfer developments.
Now, however, the Italian has confirmed that the Lilywhites are not done in the transfer market.
De Zerbi: More to come from Tottenham
“In the transfer market, we have not finished yet. The players who will arrive and then we start,” said the Italian via Sky Sports.
“We’re looking forward to starting another season with different results. The club has been great because they closed very, very important players. I think we have not finished yet.
“Okay, we spent money, but other clubs made the same or more in the past. And to compete in the Premier League, you need first, the level of the players, the ambitions, what I said, the ambition of the owner of the club, of the board, of the people who decide behind me are very important and very high.
“So we have to find a condition to build a strong team, a stronger team than last season, to compete again for the top of the table.”
In terms of attackers, Savinho has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham.
However, the Lilywhites have thus far been unable to agree a fee with Manchester City, while Liverpool have been reluctant to sanction Cody Gakpo’s sale.
Will Spurs’ attacking signing be Savinho, Gakpo, or someone else out of the blue? At this point in time, Tottenham fans need to be open to all possibilities.
