It goes without saying that when fit and firing, James Maddison is arguably Tottenham’s most important player.
The England international is one of the smartest attacking midfielders in the Premier League and the Lilywhites have missed him dearly.
Maddison missed the lion’s share of the 2025-26 campaign due to an ACL injury but showed his class during his sporadic appearances towards the back end of the season.
He hasn’t featured yet in pre-season, and earlier this week, there were reports that he was set for another spell on the sidelines.
And now, the former Leicester City midfielder has taken to Instagram to allay fears of any long-term injury.
James Maddison fully fit for Tottenham
There were several reports that Maddison had suffered a recurrence of a hip injury he sustained earlier, due to which he was facing a race against time to be fit for the season opener vs Brentford.
However, as seen in the post below, the 29-year-old emphatically shut down those claims, adding that he is fully fit and looking forward to the season ahead.
This is the best news possible for Tottenham fans as they are itching to watch him in action.
If he’s fit and firing, it would make sense to get a few minutes vs Como next week and work his way back up before being in contention for the game against Brentford.
