Tottenham Hotspur are on the lookout for an attacker or two after spending in excess of £230m on as many as six new additions.
Roberto De Zerbi confirmed last week that the Lilywhites’ spending spree will continue well into August as they aim to become a force to be reckoned with.
Eli Junior Kroupi was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, but he will be on the sidelines for four months due to a muscle injury, so a transfer will not happen for the time being.
Another player who has keen admirers at Tottenham is Savinho, with various reports confirming the club’s interest in him.
And now, the player himself has dropped a massive hint that he is joining the Lilywhites.
Savinho responds to ‘come to Tottenham’ claim
Earlier this summer, Savinho fuelled speculation on social media after liking Sandro Tonali’s Tottenham transfer confirmation post.
The club’s interest in him is well documented, especially since they also tried to sign him last year under Thomas Frank.
And now, after Manchester City’s friendly against Inter Milan – a game in which Savinho played 77 minutes – a Tottenham fan asked him to join the North London outfit.
As seen above in the video, the Brazilian international acknowledged and appeared to give a thumbs up, which is a transfer hint if there ever was one.
Now, we’re not claiming the transfer will surely happen. But based on all the reporting, Savinho’s social media activity, his recent gesture and Tottenham’s need for an attacker, we would be very surprised if he isn’t a Spurs player by the end of the summer.
