Tottenham Hotspur have splashed in excess of £230m on as many as six new additions during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Roberto De Zerbi has made a massive impression since arriving at the club and has been backed adequately to build a competitive squad for the forthcoming season.
In recent weeks, Tottenham have been focused on outgoings as they aim to raise funds for potential signings.
And now, the Italian has confirmed that the Lilywhites are close to signing another player.
De Zerbi confirms Tottenham transfer bomba
Tottenham are in the market for an attacker and have been linked with moves for Eli Kroupi Junior and Savinho.
However, any move for the latter is out of the question, at least for the time being, after it was confirmed yesterday that he will miss the next four months of action after suffering a metatarsal injury.
As for Savinho, Tottenham are in talks with Manchester City but are no closer to getting the deal over the line.
And now, De Zerbi confirmed to Alasdair Gold via Football London that Tottenham are now close to signing another player, although he didn’t give his name away.
“The transfer market, it’s not finished for sure, but we completed 60 per cent of our project in the transfer market. Now we have another bomba!”
When asked if it was an attacker and if the deal is close, he responded, “I hope, but it’s not finished for sure.”
What a tease, Roberto.
