Tottenham Hotspur have been the most active English club in the transfer market and are showing no signs of slowing down.
According to the Daily Mail, the Lilywhites are closer to agreeing a deal to sign Isaac Allen, who was locked in talks to sign for Arsenal for several weeks.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side have already signed Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, Martin Dubravka, Jan Paul van Hecke, Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.
And now, they are wasting no time in bolstering their youth ranks, with Allen now edging closer to a move to the white half of North London.
Tottenham win race for Isaac Allen
Allen is currently at West Ham and is England’s U-15 captain, who is hailed as one of the best midfielders of his age group.
Isaan Khan, writing for the Daily Mail, has confirmed that he is now set to join Tottenham as they wait to get one over their arch-rivals.
He wrote on X: “Tottenham are close to beating Arsenal to signing West Ham’s Isaac Allen.
“The England Under 15 midfield captain has been actively pursued by the Gunners for weeks – the club are keen on the player. But Spurs are confident.”
In recent weeks, Tottenham have lost a handful of young players, with Luka Vuskovic, Alfie Devine, Will Lankshear and Tynan Thompson all leaving the club.
The impending arrival of Allen is a step in the right direction as a talent of his calibre wouldn’t be joining the club without a clear pathway mapped out to make it into the first team.
