Tottenham Hotspur have received fresh encouragement over Morgan Gibbs-White after the Nottingham Forest midfielder appointed new representatives.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Gibbs-White has joined the ROOF agency. He added that the company will represent the England international and handle the “next steps” in his career.
The wording has prompted speculation over another Tottenham move. However, Romano did not report new talks, an offer or a decision from Gibbs-White to leave Forest.
The 26-year-old came close to joining Spurs last summer after they attempted to trigger a £60million release clause. Forest disputed the approach before Gibbs-White signed a new contract until 2028.
Romano’s agency update confirms only a change in representation. Tottenham’s continued interest remains plausible, but the post alone does not signal an imminent transfer.
Forest and Tottenham could revisit old negotiations
The situation could become more interesting because Forest want Lucas Bergvall.
Forest have already seen a £38m offer rejected, while Tottenham reportedly value the Sweden midfielder at around £50m. Spurs could consider a sale if Bergvall continues to push for regular football elsewhere.
Gibbs-White would provide proven Premier League creativity and leadership. He can play as a No 10, from the left or as an advanced central midfielder under Roberto De Zerbi.
As Read Tottenham previously examined, his ability to receive under pressure and carry the ball forward fits De Zerbi’s attacking system.
A swap arrangement involving Bergvall remains speculation. Forest would also value Gibbs-White significantly higher after his new contract and outstanding 2025/26 season.
The agency change may help Gibbs-White assess his options this summer. Tottenham have a long-standing interest, but they must still reopen talks with Forest before the story develops into an active deal.
