- Gareth Bale spotted at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Everton clash
- Harry Kane sends social media message after Spurs avoid relegation
- Roberto De Zerbi’s side can now rebuild for 2026-27 season
Harry Kane and Gareth Bale are among the greatest Tottenham Hotspur players of the modern era, and the pair have once again shown how much they love the club.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side got a 1-0 win against Everton last night to secure their Premier League status, with West Ham United dropping down to the Championship at their expense.
Joao Palhinha scored the solitary goal of the game in the first half and Spurs saw off the game quite well as they finished 17th in the league for the second season running.
And while Bale was spotted at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the game, Kane took to social media to wish his former club well.
Tottenham legends show their class
The Welshman has been vocal about his love for the club and even returned for a loan spell from Real Madrid under Antonio Conte.
Kane, on the other hand, is the greatest player in the club’s Premier League history and has continued his rich vein of goalscoring form since joining Bayern Munich two summers ago.
Bale posted a picture of his kids watching the game as he graced what turned out to be a happy outing against Everton.
As for Kane, he took to X to congratulate Tottenham as they played out of their skins under De Zerbi to beat the drop.
The England captain wrote, “Congratulations to everyone at the club, especially the fans – massive fight and result on the final day!”
De Zerbi needs to oversee a new era at Tottenham
Now that relegation has been avoided, Tottenham can look ahead and get work done for the forthcoming season.
They have made too many mistakes in the past in terms of recruitment and managerial choices.
However, De Zerbi’s arrival has breathed new life into the club and the Italian is surely the man to oversee a new era at the club.
They need to back him and give him what he wants in terms of transfers, which would allow the club to be a force to be reckoned with again.
Signing quality players is obviously important, but having players like Bale and Kane in the squad – who love the club through and through – would allow him to build a dynasty in North London.
