At a glance:
- Alan Shearer says Tottenham will be relegated
- West Ham currently two points above Spurs
- Only four games to go in the Premier League season
With just four games left to go, Tottenham are running out of time to save their Premier League status.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are two points below West Ham United, who have found their feet in recent weeks.
Both sides secured crucial wins last weekend, so this part of the table remained unchanged.
Nottingham Forest and Leeds United are in fine form and are well clear of the drop, indicating that it is just between Tottenham and West Ham now.
And Alan Shearer believes the North London outfit are doomed for the drop.
Alan Shearer says Tottenham will be relegated
Tottenham have picked up four points from their three games under De Zerbi.

The Italian began with a loss against Sunderland but topped it off with a 2-2 draw against Brighton, after which he masterminded Spurs to a 1-0 win vs Wolves.
With four games to play, Tottenham need at least three wins and other results to go their way to avoid the drop.
And Shearer feels they have too big a mountain to climb, due to which he believes West Ham will stay up at their expense.
The former England international also claims injuries to Dominic Solanke and Xavi Simons are a massive blow to Tottenham’s hopes.
“I think West Ham might stay up,” said Shearer via the Rest is Football podcast.
“I still think, I mean, Tottenham had a couple of injuries as well, didn’t they? Solanke went off injured. Simons went off injured.”
Roy Keane believes otherwise
Earlier this month, Keane said Tottenham will stay up at the expense of Nottingham Forest.
That looks unlikely now as Forest are five points clear. However, at the time, Keane’s argument was that their UEFA Europa League semi could hurt their Premier League form.
Unfortunately, as things stand, Sherwood may have a point.
Tottenham’s injury woes have been horrific, to say the least. They’ve shown signs of life under De Zerbi, but there is a feeling that they’ve left it too late.
Nevertheless, they will look to carry on their newfound momentum as they travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa on Saturday.
