At a glance:
- Kolo Muani will leave Tottenham this summer
- Frenchman linked with shock Liverpool move
- PSG man viewed as Salah successor
Randal Kolo Muani is set to return to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season after his Tottenham loan deal expires.
The French international has started both games under Roberto De Zerbi and could yet play an important role in the games ahead.
However, it hasn’t quite worked out for him at North London, which is largely down to the club’s overall failure across the pitch.
And now, if reports from Italy are to be believed, Liverpool are plotting a shock move for the versatile attacker.
Liverpool’s Salah replacement?
Tottenham don’t have the option to sign Kolo Muani permanently. And in any case, the best solution for all parties is to shake hands and part ways at the end of the season.
PSG have a wealth of options in attack, due to which he is likely to be moved on in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Gazzetta, Juventus have a historic interest in the player, who has already spent a brief period on loan in Turin.

However, after Mohamed Salah announced that he will leave Liverpool in the summer, the Reds have joined the chase to sign Kolo Muani.
The report adds that Liverpool appreciate his versatility, with the Frenchman capable of leading the line and also playing out wide.
The Reds’ ‘strong interest’ could also stem from Hugo Ekitike’s injury. The Frenchman is expected to be out for the foreseeable future after rupturing his achilles tendon, due to which Liverpool need more bodies in attack.
Kolo Muani’s stats for Tottenham
Kolo Muani was suffering from a muscle injury when he joined the club under Thomas Frank.
However, since then, he has always been fit for Tottenham, which is a big plus considering their injury woes this season.

His overall stats for the North London club, however, make for underwhelming reading:
- 36 games in all competitions
- 5 goals
- 4 assists
Kolo Muani has scored just one Premier League goal for Tottenham, although he fared quite well in the UEFA Champions League group phase with four goals to his name in the competition.
His Tottenham chapter appears to be over and to be fair to him, he has always put in the hard yards in what has been a difficult season for the club on and off the pitch.
Good luck with what’s to come, Randal!
