Tottenham’s primary aim will be to avoid relegation from the Premier League under Roberto De Zerbi.
However, plans are already being put in place to bolster the squad in the summer transfer window.
De Zerbi’s Tottenham contract doesn’t have a relegation clause and he signed a five-year deal, which is a sign that he is here for the long haul.
And now, if reports from England are to be believed, they are keeping tabs on a Premier League goalkeeper on a free transfer.
Tottenham want Karl Darlow on a free transfer
Earlier this week, David Ornstein confirmed that Tottenham are leading the race to sign Marcos Senesi on a free transfer.
The Bournemouth defender will leave the club at the end of the season and isn’t short of suitors, with interest from Chelsea, Barcelona and Liverpool, among others.

However, Senesi’s move to North London will depend on whether or not they avoid relegation.
Tottenham are also favourites to sign Andy Robertson, who, much like Senesi, will be a free agent in the summer.
And it looks like they are wasting no time to fine-tune their squad, with Karl Darlow emerging as an option for them.
According to The Telegraph, Tottenham want to sign the experienced goalkeeper on a free transfer, with his Leeds United contract set to expire this summer.
The report also confirms Inter Milan’s interest in Guglielmo Vicario, adding that Antonin Kinsky could leave on loan next season to get regular game time under his belt.
Darlow ticks a lot of boxes
With Vicario and Kinsky facing uncertain futures, Tottenham need two goalkeepers in the summer transfer window.

Darlow’s arrival for free would make him the ideal backup, while his status as a homegrown player could help with squad composition.
Additionally, it would allow the club to spend big on a top goalkeeper to replace Vicario, with Bart Verbruggen heavily linked with a move to Tottenham.
The Lilywhites have faltered in terms of their transfer strategy recently, which needs to change for them to become a force to be reckoned with.
And judging by all the recent transfer speculation, they are wasting no time to right their wrongs, which is only a good sign.
However, a lot of this will depend on securing their Premier League status, which they are running out of time to do.
