Exclusive: Kane would improve Adam Traore says Ex-Spurs hero
Former Tottenham defender and legend Graham Roberts believes that Harry Kane would improve the finishing of potential signing Adama Traore.
Tottenham Hotspur have recently been linked with the signing of Wolves winger Traore, who would be reuniting with former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Spain international has been on the club’s radar for the past few weeks, with a reported £40million fee rumoured to be the amount Spurs will have to pay for him.
The lightning fast forward is known for his blistering pace and strong physique, but has often been criticised for his finishing abilities and end product.
The 25-year-old has scored only 10 goals and produced 18 assists in 134 games for the West Midlands club since arriving for £18million in 2018.
Despite his lack of goals, Spurs still remain heavily interested, which could create a new and exciting partnership between Harry Kane and the winger.
Graham Roberts, who won the FA Cup and UEFA Cup as a Tottenham player, exclusively shares his thoughts on a potential link-up between the two with Read Tottenham:
“He’s [Adama Traore] a good player, I think he needs to work on his finishing. But if he came in and worked with Harry Kane, I think he would improve his finishing for him. Sonny [Heung-min Son] works with Harry Kane and Sonny’s finishing is brilliant.”
“If I was Tottenham, yeah I would probably go for it.”
Three-time golden boot winner Harry Kane confirmed that he was staying at Spurs in an announcement on Wednesday.
After months of uncertainty over Kane’s future at the club, they can now build on the squad they have – potentially starting with the signing of Adama Traore from Wolves.
