Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been scouting Everton defender Michael Keane with a view to a £50m transfer this summer.
That’s according to the Express, who write that Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal have also been tracking Keane’s progress.
The 26-year-old has featured regularly for the Toffees this season, starting 28 of their 32 Premier League matches this season and keeping 10 clean sheets in the process.
The centre-back, who moved to Merseyside from Burnley for £25m in the summer of 2017, has continued to improve year upon year and is now an established top-flight player.

Both Spurs and Arsenal had scouts in attendance as Everton beat West Ham United away from home on Saturday, with the Toffees keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory.
Keane has also become a regular in Gareth Southgate’s England setup, scoring his first Three Lions goal as he earned his 7th cap in last week’s dominant victory over Montenegro in Euro 2020 qualifying.
With Toby Alderweireld looking more and more likely to leave this summer and Jan Vertonghen now 32, manager Mauricio Pochettino will need defensive reinforcements during the offseason.
Should they pay £50m for the ex-Manchester United youth player’s services, it will eclipse their current record transfer fee of £36m for Davinson Sanchez in 2017.
