Tottenham Hotspur have been given a major injury boost with the news that midfielder Dele Alli has returned to training.
As reported by Skysports, Alli has not featured for the club since suffering an injury at Fulham towards the end of January.
The 22-year-old limped off in the 86th minute of Spurs’ last-gasp win at Craven Cottage on January 20th, with the club later confirming he had an issue with his left hamstring.
The news came at a bad time for Spurs injury-wise, with Harry Kane recently returning to full fitness, with Moussa Sissoko and Lucas Moura also struggling of late.
However, the Englishman has now returned to full training and is expected to play a part as Mauricio Pochettino returns to his old club Southampton this Saturday.
His team-mates are in Champions League Round of 16 action tomorrow night, but it is understood that the match comes too soon for the ex-MK Dons playmaker, who has not travelled to Dortmund with the squad.
Alli is Spurs’ fourth-highest Premier League goalscorer this season with five strikes to his name, some way off leading marksman Harry Kane with 16.
