Spurs keen on move for Norwich’s young star Aarons
Tottenham Hotspur are set to firm up their interest in Norwich City defender Max Aarons as Arsenal and Chelsea are also keen on the player.
That’s according to the Daily Mirror, who write that Spurs were considering making an offer for Aarons in January, with a view to him staying in Norfolk for the remainder of the season.
The 19-year-old, who plays as an attacking right-back, has played a key role in the Canaries’ success this season.
Norwich sit top of the Championship table with 16 matches to play but are only ahead of 2nd-placed Leeds United on goal difference.
Aarons has enjoyed a quick rise to prominence, having only made his first-team debut earlier this season in September’s 1-1 draw with local rivals Ipswich Town.
The youngster has scored twice in the league this season and has been rewarded with four England U19 caps for his displays.
The Yellows are keen to keep hold of one of their star players, and reportedly value him at £15m.
He is contracted to the Carrow Road club until the summer of 2023, but it remains to be seen whether he will still be playing for Daniel Farke come the start of the 2019-20 season.
