Tottenham have begun talks over a deal for Sampdoria central defender Joachim Andersen in January.
According to Secolo XIX, via Inter News, Sampdoria’s CEO has travelled to England to speak with Arsenal and Tottenham over a potential deal for Andersen.
The report claims that Inter Milan are the favourites to land Andersen at this time, but Spurs are still in with a chance of landing the Swedish defender.
Andersen has started all 12 of Sampdoria’s Serie A games this season and impressed at the back for the Italian outfit.

He joined Sampdoria at the start of last season from Dutch side FC Twente, where he made 49 first-team appearances.
Secolo XIX claim that Tottenham would need to pay a significant fee, with Sampdoria looking for a substantial profit on the €1.5m they paid Twente for his services.
The 22-year-old has not yet been capped by Denmark at senior level, but has appeared 14 times for the under-21 team.
