West Ham eyeing loan offer for Wanyama

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has become a loan target for West Ham.

According to Football Insider, West Ham are ready to make an offer for Wanyama as they look to strengthen their midfield options.

The Hammers let Chiekhou Kouyate leave in the summer, which has left them light in the defensive midfield department.

Wanyama has fallen out-of-favour at Tottenham this season and could be open to a loan move in January.

The report claims that he is a top target for Manuel Pellegrini, who rates the Kenyan international highly.

He has made six appearances in all competitions for Tottenham this season, although he has not yet been handed a start in the Premier League.

Wanyama has made 77 appearances for Tottenham since he joined the club from Southampton in 2016 for a fee in the region of £11m.
