Grealish set to reject Tottenham

Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish is poised to reject Tottenham and sign a new long-term contract with the club.

According to The Express, via BBC Sport, Grealish is set to turn down interest from Premier League side Tottenham to sign an extended deal with Championship Aston Villa.

Grealish was the subject of a £25m bid from Tottenham on deadline day over the summer, with Villa rejecting the offer and refusing to sell their prized asset.

The Englishman has had a difficult start to the 2018/19 season, with no goals and one assist in ten appearances in all competitions so far.

There are questions over the future of manager Steve Bruce, but that has not deterred Grealish from pledging his allegiance to the Villa cause.

Tottenham are expected to come back in for Grealish in the next transfer window, with the 22-year-old set to reject their advances and stay at Villa Park for the foreseeable future.
