Tottenham are keeping an eye on Portuguese international winger Gelson Martins following his move to Atletico Madrid.
Martins signed for Spanish side Atletico Madrid on a six-year deal after his contract at Sporting Lisbon was terminated by mutual consent.
He, along with several other Sporting players, terminated their contracts following a fan-led attack on the club’s training ground.
According to The Daily Star, Tottenham are one of a number of teams watching Martins.
Everton, Manchester City and Liverpool are all also thought to be keeping a close eye on the winger.
Martins managed 13 goals and 13 assists in all competitions for Sporting last season, but is yet to start a competitive game for Atletico.
He has been restricted to two substitute cameos in La Liga, as he adapts to life outside of Portugal.
Tottenham will be looking to see if he is available to sign at any point in the near future.
