Tottenham target in talks over new Villa deal
Aston Villa have opened talks over a new contract for Tottenham target Jack Grealish.
According to The Telegraph, Villa are ready to hand Grealish a bumper new deal to emphasise his worth to the side.
Champions League club Tottenham were interested in signing Grealish over the summer and had two offers rejected for the England youth international.
Villa made it clear that they were not willing to sell Grealish for any price, due to his impact on the pitch for the team.
Grealish was influential for Villa last season as they reached the play-off final, only to lose 1-0 to Fulham at Wembley.
The 22-year-old has two seasons left on his current contract at Villa, with the club looking to further extend that.
Grealish has had a slow start to the 2018/19 season, with no goals and one assist in five Championship matches.
