Tottenham and Schalke in talks over Rose deal

Schalke are in talks to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose on a season-long loan deal.

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are open to letting Rose, Toby Alderweireld and Moussa Dembele leave the club before the end of the transfer window.

Schalke are looking to strengthen their defence and are keen to add Rose as their new first-choice left-back for next season.

Rose failed to make his way into the Tottenham team last season, as he struggled with injuries and Ben Davies impressed in his place.

The England international could now be set for a shock move to the Bundesliga to recapture his form and find regular game time for Schalke.

Ashley Young was England’s first-choice left-back at the World Cup, with Rose left as second choice for the tournament in Russia.
