Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for the signature of highly-rated Bourdeaux winger Malcom, according to a report on Talksport.
The pacey forward was strongly linked with making a move to north London during the January transfer window but negotiations between the two clubs didn’t seem to take off.
Spurs settled with signing Lucas Moura from Paris Saint Germain but manager Mauricio Pochettino still wants to sign Malcom.
The Brazilian is open to making a big move to a European club this summer with Serie A side Inter Milan also interested.
Inter want to sign Malcom on loan with an option to buy him at the end of the loan but Bordeaux would rather sell their star talent on a permanent basis for a healthy fee.
The winger managed to get his name on the scoresheet 12 times in the French top flight last season.
Reports in France are claiming that Tottenham representatives have met with the French club to discuss the terms of the move.
With Spurs looking to compete in all competitions next season, Pochettino knows he must recruit smartly to strengthen his squad.
