Spurs target Grealish wants to leave Villa
Jack Grealish is ready to leave Aston Villa this summer as he looks to play Premier League football, the Mirror reports.
Tottenham are believed to be leading the race for Grealish but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is still yet to open the bidding for the talented youngster.
It’s believed that Grealish still believes that Spurs will come in for him and offer a bumper five-year contract which will see his current £20,000-a-week salary rocket.
Former Villa captain John Terry, who has left the club after his one-year contract expired, has reportedly told Grealish of his Premier League quality and has encouraged him to leave his boyhood club and make the step up to the top flight.
Villa, who were late settling a tax bill last month, are still struggling to source fresh investment under owner Dr Tony Xia and it’s believed that Spurs are just biding their time in their pursuit for Grealish as they look to exploit Villa’s cash woes.
