Bale reportedly ‘agrees terms’ for Tottenham return

According to Spanish reports, as per the Express, Gareth Bale has reached an agreement to return to former club Tottenham Hotspur after five years at European giants Real Madrid.

The Welshman has reportedly been the perpetual target for Manchester United for a number of seasons now. However, Don Balon claims that Bale is aware his time in the Spanish capital is running out – and has already agreed to a return to North London.

Real Madrid broke the global transfer record to sign Bale from Spurs for £85.3 million in 2013 and the attacker has won three Champions Leagues, three Club World Cups, three UEFA Super Cups, one Copa del Rey and one La Liga title during his time. Manuel Queimadelos Alonso/Getty Images Sport

He has been met with limited playing time this season, however, partly due to injuries and partly due to boss Zinedine Zidane’s preferred option of Isco on the right wing.

With 22 goals in 39 appearances, Bale is a player in demand and if Spurs truly have already reached an agreement, then Daniel Levy will have found the blockbuster signing to excite the fans ahead of their move to a new stadium.
