Youth star Bennetts signs for Monchengladbach

Tottenham Hotspur youth star Keanan Bennetts has left the Premier League, signing a four-year deal at Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach, as confirmed by the BBC.

Worth a reported £2 million, the midfielder has registered seven goals and four assists in Division One of the Premier League 2 this season, whilst also featuring prominently in the UEFA Youth League.

Despite the 19-year-old being born in London, his mother was born in Hamburg and he was raised bilingually which will inevitably help with the transition of moving to a new country at an early age.

The Foals’ sporting director Max Eberl said, “Keanan can play several positions in offence.

“We trust him to jump into the Bundesliga and are happy that he has decided to [join] Borussia.”

He joins the ever-growing list of exciting English prospects making their way over to Germany to test themselves, such as Jadon Sancho, Reece Oxford and Ademola Lookman.
