Inter make new approach for Erik Lamela
Inter Milan have reportedly made a new approach for Spurs winger Erik Lamela, according to Calcio Mercato.
The Argentine has spent a long time on the sidelines with injury this season. However, Lamela has returned to the starting lineup and has become a key figure for Spurs, being a key figure in the 2-2 draw with Juventus on Tuesday.
However, Inter transfer executive Walter Sabatini, the man responsible for bringing the Argentine to Serie A back in 2011, is interested in bringing Lamela back to Italy with Inter.
The arrival of Lucas Moura has cast doubt over his future in England. However, Lamela’s representatives told Inter that the winger could not be sold in January, but could possibly go in the Summer. Spurs could let Lamela go for about €25 million.
Inter would face competition from fellow Italian side Napoli for the winger’s services, with both clubs vying for Lamela’s signature.
