Dele Alli will test Tottenham’s resolve by asking for a new bumper contract, despite the club’s strict wage structure.
The Daily Mail reports that Alli will ask for more than £100,00 a week as part of a new deal at the club, despite only currently earning £50,000 a week at Spurs.
It would see the English youngster surpass Harry Kane as the club’s top earner, with the latter currently pocketing a £100,000 a week.
Alli is said to be aware that he could potentially earn closer to £200,000 elsewhere, despite a somewhat slow start to his season.

The former MK Dons man has recently left his agent Rob Segal and is being touted by both Jorge Mendes and Mino Raiola as rumours about his long-term future continue to circulate.
Alli has already been linked with moves to Real Madrid in the past, with the Spanish champions said to be holding an interest in both him and his Tottenham team-mate Kane.
The report goes on to suggest that Alli would be interested in a move abroad in the future.
