Tottenham striker Harry Kane is one of the most coveted young players in world football and if reports are to be believed, Real Madrid are interested in bringing the attacker to the Bernabeu.

Spurs have dealt with Real Madrid a number of times in recent years, seeing their best players leave for La Liga, namely Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, but Madrid are willing to send them back to North London in order to sign Kane.

Spanish source Diario Gol claim that Madrid are ready to offer both Modric and Bale, as well as star striker Karim Benzema to Tottenham in exchange for Harry Kane.

Modric, regarded as one of the best central midfielders in the world, is still performing at the highest level while Gareth Bale, loved by the Tottenham, fans, remains one of the world’s finest attackers when fit and Benzema is a clinical centre-forward.

All three players are getting up there in years compared to Kane, who will not be allowed to leave Tottenham for anything less than £179m, the report suggests.

Madrid believe Mateo Kovacic and Dani Ceballos are ready to replace Modric who turns 33 next year, while Bale’s injury problems are a cause for concern for the Champions League holders.

Tottenham will not want to lose Kane to anyone, but receiving a bounty like this for the England international could be the difference between putting the pressure on and actually winning the title race.
