Tottenham are preparing to offer a new improved contract to centre-half Toby Alderweireld according to reports.
Discussions however, will take place now that the Belgian is back to full fitness and playing regular first-team football under Mauricio Pochettino.

Alderweireld, 26, has been out with a knee injury since October and manager Mauricio Pochettino will be pleased that he’s back on the pitch.
However, the centre-back still has a two and half year deal left to run down since joining Spurs from Spanish side Athletico Madrid in the summer of 2015.
The Belgian was instrumental in Spurs’ best league finish in the Premier League in their history, making 38 appearances, scoring 4 goals.

Alderweireld is not the only Spurs player ready to sign a contract, with Harry Kane, Kyle Walker, Dele Alli, Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Eric Dier all signing long-term contracts with the club.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has dismissed that the centre-back has a £25.4m release clause in his current contract.
