What do the Stats Say? Spurs v Hammers

Derby month continues with our second London derby (Chelsea still to come later on) against West Ham.

There is no such thing as a “small game” between Tottenham and West Ham and with both sides struggling for form, this one has a bit more edge to it than usual.

Let’s not forget that West Ham were one of those sides that Spurs struggled against last season, picking up just one point from a possible six.  The points dropped in those games could well have led to a 2nd placed finish for the boys from north London.

Like we have in previous stats articles we’re going to take the time to look at a number of things in the build up to this match, including current form, head to head results, the strength (or otherwise) of the two defences and of course the attack that both teams can bring to bear.
