FC Basel striker Breel Embolo looks set to leave the Swiss club this summer, putting Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United on high alert.
Embolo is rated as one of the world’s brightest prospects, with the 19-year-old earning rave reviews for his performances for Basel.
The Cameroon-born striker, who is set to lead the line for his adopted country Switzerland at Euro 2016, has hit 30 goals in almost 90 appearances for his club side and that has peaked the reported interest of both Spurs and United according to The Express.
Both clubs would have to part with around £20 million to secure Embolo’s services, but his capability on the wing also makes him an attractive prospect, especially to Mauricio Pochettino who likes players with versatility.

And Basel sporting director Georg Heitz has admitted to Goal that Embolo is more than likely to leave St. Jakob-Park this summer.
He said: “It’s very probable that he’ll leave this summer. He’s played for three seasons in our first team and he’s just 19-year-old.
“At some point we have to accept that we cannot change our league. The players love our club but realise they have to change their league at some point to develop.
“There are only two countries he could go to: England or Germany. I’d recommend him not to make too big a step.
“He’s intelligent enough to know he needs to go to a place where the coach gives him a chance.”
Spurs are the more attractive proposition with Champions League football and a recent reputation for developing young talent and with Harry Kane and Clinton N’Jie the club’s only senior strikers, Embolo stands to enjoy regular first team football.
