Midfielder linked with Spurs exit

According to the Mirror, Crystal Palace are targeting Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason, who is assumed to be leaving White Hart Lane this summer.

Mason played a decent role for Pochettino’s side last season, however, due to injury and the emergence of Dele Alli, the Tottenham product has been demoted to the bench.

Mason has recently been linked with a move to Bournemouth with Spurs apparently looking to use the 24-year-old as part of a deal to bring in Callum Wilson, a target Tottenham have been eyeing since January.

Mason appeared in 22 Premier League and six Europa League matches last season, scoring only one goal. For a while, there was talk of him being included in England’s Euro 2016 squad, but a lack of game time put an end to that.

Crystal Palace are reported to have valued the player at around £4million, however, Spurs owner, Daniel Levy, values Mason at around £8 million.

If Palace are hoping to sign the England international, they’ll have to negotiate with the strong-headed Levy.
