Tottenham Hotspur are ready to offer Arsenal club captain Mikel Arteta a role on their coaching staff, according to a report by Matt Law of The Telegraph.
The 34-year-old is currently taking his coaching badges and with his contract with Arsenal set to expire in the summer, he could hang up the boots and transition into a new role as a coach.
Manchester City are also reportedly interested in adding Arteta to their new-look backroom staff that will be led by Pep Guardiola, but Arteta’s relationship with Mauricio Pochettino could see him favour a move to Spurs.

Pochettino was PSG’s captain when Arteta was a youngster at the club and the pair are said to be close friends.
Arteta has not yet decided what he plans to do next year but it’s almost certain that he won’t be playing for Arsenal as he’s yet to be offered a new contract.
