Predicted XI: Stoke City (A)

Tottenham travel to Stoke on Monday evening in yet another must-win fixture for the Lilywhites.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are sitting seven points behind leaders Leicester who play on Sunday afternoon and must falter for Spurs to have a realistic chance of winning the league.

However, even if they should do so, there is no guarantee that the North Londoners will walk away from the Britannia Stadium victorious, having failed to beat the Staffordshire club in three meetings now.

Last year’s game at Stoke was particularly painful for Spurs as they lost 3-0 in a resounding defeat.

Despite this, Mark Hughes’ side’s season is effectively over, sitting mid table with no threat of relegation and little chance of European qualification.

Nevertheless, Tottenham must be weary of Stoke’s attacking firepower, notably the dangerous Shaqiri and Bojan, whilst former man, Peter Crouch’s height may prove difficult to deal with.

With this in mind, here is a predicted XI for Monday night’s game.
