Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris was full of praise for his team-mates, as Spurs put in a great performance at White Hart Lane to move within five points of league leaders Leicester City.
In truth, the visitors never got going, considering Spurs were 1-0 up inside 45 seconds thanks to Harry Kane. Spurs then took a firm hold of the game and were 2-0 up 15 minutes later, again thanks to Harry Kane, after he slotted past Artur Boruc.
Spurs finally put the game to bed when, in the 52nd minute, Christian Eriksen bundled the ball home after Boruc could only parry Kane’s 25-yard drive.

Speaking after the game, Lloris said:
“After the warm-up, in the changing room the feeling was very good and very positive. We started well.”
“We didn’t start the second half well but still scored to kill the game so the feeling is very good.”
“It was a great team performance. We managed the game how we wanted. We had control.”
Spurs now have to wait two weeks before they play again, which will be against Liverpool, on the 2nd April at Anfield in what promises to be a tough encounter for the Lilywhites.
