Tottenham Hotspur are among several Premier League clubs interested in Gent striker Laurent Depoitre.
The Belgian has 11 goals in 35 games for Gent this season and The Telegraph claim that as many as 13 clubs from England’s top flight are interested in signing the 27-year-old.
Among them, include Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United as well as Spurs, who according to Belgian press, were the closest to making an offer for Depoitre.

His contract runs out in June 2017 and with an apparent reluctance to sign a new deal at the Ghelamco Arena, means he is open to a move to the Premier League.
The Telegraph claim that Spurs sent scouts to watch Depoitre before Christmas, with the likelihood of signing summer target and West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino fading.
Spurs were apparently impressed by what they saw of the striker, compared in his homeland to Liverpool striker Christian Benteke in playing style and stature.
But his age and modest goalscoring record may put Tottenham off pursuing a move, with 70 goals in almost 200 career appearances.
He doesn’t seem to fit the mould of a Mauricio Pochettino signing and therefore a deal to take him to White Hart Lane appears unlikely.
