Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen is set to seal a new contract with the club, according to Football Insider.
The Dane, who scored the winning goal against Manchester City on Sunday, is set to sign a new five-and-a-half year deal to 2021 worth around £80,000-a-week.
The 24-year-old had two-and-a-half years left to run on his current deal, but Spurs want to reward him with a better contract to reflect his status as one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most important players.

The silky playmaker has been in impressive form this season with five goals and eight assists in the Premier League and his goal against City means Spurs are just two points off of leaders Leicester City.
Football Insider claim that representatives between the club and Eriksen have been in discussion for the past few months over a new contract, to replace the one he initially signed in 2013 following his move from Ajax.
Although appearing to struggle with Pochettino’s high-pressing game, Eriksen has since become an integral part of the side that has a genuine chance of securing their first league title since 1961.
