Tottenham Hotspur’s move for Fulham striker Moussa Dembele has been called off according to Sky Sports.
Spurs had been linked with a move for the highly-rated forward for much of this window as they chase back-up for Harry Kane.
But despite agreeing a fee with Fulham for the 19-year-old and the striker undergoing a medical with the club on Saturday, Spurs’ reluctance to loan the Frenchman back to The Cottagers for the rest of the season is thought to have scuppered the deal.

Dembele, who has scored 11 goals in the Championship this season, is entering the final six months of his contract and is certain to see out his stay in West London until the summer.
For Spurs, it means they they are unlikely to do any business this window despite being tentatively linked with West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, although Newcastle United and Stoke City seem to have stolen a march on Tottenham for the wantaway forward.
A lack of reinforcements will come to some frustration for Spurs fans, who have been eager to see another striker brought in this window to ease the burden on Kane, with Clinton N’Jie also sidelined with injury.
