Pochettino responds to Man United and Chelsea links

Pochettino has distanced himself from potential managerial roles at Chelsea and Manchester United, and has claimed that he is happy at White Hart Lane.

The Argentine has been the manager of Tottenham since 2014, when he took over from the now-jobless Tim Sherwood.

So far in his reign with Spurs, he has taken the team to the Capital One Cup final in 2015, where they were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea, one of the two clubs who are reportedly interested in having Pochettino as their manager at the start of the 2016-17 season.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in the Argentine, possibly due to the fact that Van Gaal has been under constant pressure by the fans of Manchester United, and looks to be on the verge of being either sacked by the Manchester club, or leaving under the pressure of the fans.

However, as it looks, Pochettino looks to be going nowhere, and in his press conference, he insisted that he is happy at Spurs:

“I’m very happy here. We’ve created after 18 months a very good group, with a strong basis for success in the future and I’m very happy.

“My job is to be focused, not to hear rumours. The most important thing is that I’m focused on my job.”It’s the same with any rumours about players, there’s a lot of names in the media now”But my focus here, to try for success at Tottenham and to work hard.”
