Tottenham Hotspur are tracking three young guns from the Football League in the hope that they can unearth the next big gem, in a similar vein to the way they snapped up Dele Alli from MK Dons.
The Independent reports that Spurs have eyes on Charlton Athletic’s Ademola Lookman, Coventry City midfielder James Maddison, as well as Fulham striker Moussa Dembele who they have a long-standing interest in.
Lookman joined struggling Charlton from non-league side Waterloo FC in 2014 and has risen rapidly through The Addicks’ youth system all the way through to the first team.
The 18-year-old has scored three goals in nine Championship games prompting interest from some of the Premier League’s big guns

Coventry’s Maddison made his breakthrough in 2014 going on to make 18 appearances in the 2014-15 season, before continuing to impress this season with two goals in 18 appearances so far from midfield.
Dembele meanwhile, has long-been mooted to leaving Fulham for White Hart Lane and has scored 11 times this season, as well as being capped up to France Under 20 level.
All three players would be back-up options for Tottenham, but Lookman and Dembele would be the most crucial options given how light Spurs are in the striking department.
All three players could be signed and loaned back to their respective clubs before joining the Spurs squad in the summer, much like when Alli signed for Spurs in last January’s transfer window.
