Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Andros Townsend is likely to leave White Hart Lane in January in search of first team football.
Townsend has been frozen out of the Spurs squad in recent months and played his last game for the club back in October in the Europa League.
The 24-year-old hit the headlines in November for an altercation with Tottenham fitness coach Nathan Gardiner after Spurs beat Aston Villa 3-1.
The winger was fined and suspended from first team matters and it seems he’s paid the price, with a move away from Tottenham the most likely outcome.
The Mirror claim both Watford and Newcastle United are interested in Townsend who has made just three league appearances all season for Tottenham.

More recently, Townsend, who had had loan spells with the likes of Queens Park Rangers, Birmingham City and Leeds United, has been featuring for the Under 21 team, as he looks to resolve his future.
And Pochettino has finally admitted it’s unlikely the academy graduate will be in North London for much longer.
“I think it’s obvious the situation of Andros,” he said.
“It’s always about rumours but it is true that it’s obvious when some players are not too much involved in the games, the player always wants to play and try to find the solution.”
Despite making his breakthrough for Tottenham in 2013, Townsend has struggled to hold down a first-team place and The Mirror believe a price of £14 million is what Tottenham are holding out for to all interested parties.
However, the player himself would prefer a loan move and make a decision on his future in the summer.
