Goals from Son Heung-Min and Nacer Chadli gave Spurs a 2-0 win against Leicester at the King Power stadium and sealed progression to the 4th round of the FA Cup.
The game started slowly, as both sides fielded much-changed teams and left their respective top scorers on the bench. However, it was Spurs who struck the first blow when Son opened the scoring with a superb finish past Schmeichel in the 39th minute.

Spurs then controlled the game as a Leicester side without Mahrez and Vardy, who was brought on much later in the game, failed to pose a threat to a solid Spurs backline. Chadli extended the lead in the 66th minute after Leicester switched off from a Spurs throw in. It allowed Son to play in Chadli, who slotted a left-foot drive past Schmeichel.
There were further chances to extend the lead, but a combination of good work from Schmeichel and poor decision making from Spurs ensured that the score stayed 2-0 and meant that Tottenham will be playing Colchester in the 4th round of the FA Cup in 9 days time.
