Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign Shilow Tracey from Vanarama South outfit Ebbsfleet United, according to Sky Sports.
The 17-year-old made a real impression when on trial with the Lilywhites in October and was invited on the club’s trip to Florida in December.
The midfielder has been likened to Dele Alli, he can play in the centre of midfield or as a no.10 and chips in with goals as evidenced by his strikes against Jacksonville Armada and Baltimore Celtic when on Spurs’ U.S tour.
Despite the comparisons to the wildly impressive Alli, Tracey will join the U18’s group at White Hart Lane and is seen as a star of the future among the Tottenham hierarchy.
Spurs official are ironing out a compensation package with Ebbsfleet United, and Tracey will join the set-up in North London this week.
Tracey may not be Tottenham’s only signing of the January window, it is reported that the club are looking at offensive reinforcements with long-term targets Saido Berahino, Domenico Berardi and Barcelona’s Sandro said to be on Mauricio Pochettino’s radar.
