Marseille manager Michel insists that the club will not sell Michy Batshuayi in January, despite reported interest from Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Belgian international has scored 14 goals in 25 games this season, but Marseille languish in a disappointing 10th place in Ligue 1 and look unlikely to qualify for Europe.
Relegation-threatened Newcastle have struggled for goals among strikers, with Ayoze Perez scoring just four times this season, one more ahead of big-money signing Alexsandar Mitrovic.
Tottenham meanwhile have just Harry Kane fit as their sole striking option, with Clinton N’Jie currently nursing an ankle injury, despite Heung-Min Son also capable of playing upfront.
However, any hope from either club of signing the 22-year-old has been firmly rejected by Michel, according to the Daily Express.

The Spaniard talking about the speculation said: “You want to kill me! I don’t think about Michy leaving.
“If we’re going to sign anyone it will be an addition not a replacement.”
The Express value Batshuayi at around £35 million, £10 million more than what Tottenham were prepared to pay West Bromwich Albion for Saido Berahino in the summer.
Batshuayi moved to France in 2014 from Standard Liege and has made two appearances for Belgium, scoring on both occasions.
