Match Report: Tottenham 3-0 Norwich

A brace from Harry Kane along with Tom Carroll’s first Premier League goal gave Spurs a deserved 3-0 win over a poor Norwich side.

Spurs, who were unchanged from the team that beat Southampton 2-0 at St Mary’s last weekend, started off the better side but couldn’t find a breakthrough. However, in the 26th minute Spurs opened the scoring after Kane had been brought down by Rudd in the penalty area and the England forward had no problem scoring from the spot.

Kane got his second of the afternoon just before the half-time interval, after Dele Alli had played him through on goal and Kane once again had no problem placing the ball past Declan Rudd in the Norwich goal.

The intensity of the game dropped in the second half, as Spurs looked comfortable with their 2-0 lead and Norwich failed to test Lloris in the Tottenham goal.

However, there was still time for Tom Carroll to score his first Premier League goal after been played in on goal by Ben Davies, to give Spurs a deserved 3-0 lead.

The result means that Spurs have strengthened their hold on 4th place in the Premier League, as Pochettino’s side are now two points ahead of Crystal Palace in 5th place and three points ahead of Manchester United in 6th place.
