Riyad Mahrez has been in inspired form this season and has allegedly been attracting the interest of Premier League big-guns, Tottenham and Manchester United.
However, according to the Leicester Mercury, the Algerian international’s agent has rebuffed the advances of interested clubs by affirming that his client will be staying at Leicester until at least the end of the season.
I don’t think Leicester want to sell him and he is focused on doing well with them, I think he will stay in January.
The winger has been one of the Premier League’s stand-out performers this season, notching up 13 goals and 7 assists in just 15 games and along with Jamie Vardy has helped carry his club to the top of the League.
As a result, Mahrez told Telefoot that he is reluctant to leave in the upcoming window but did admit that there has been interest from other clubs.
I don’t think I will leave, I feel very good here. There are noises and it always nice to have clubs interested in you, but I feel good at Leicester. It would be stupid to leave in January, especially when we are first in the league.
This news will come as a blow to Mauricio Pochettino who is reportedly on the look-out for a new winger, with reports linking both Sofiane Boufal and Ezequiel Lavezzi with a move to White Hart Lane in recent days.
