Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez has been heavily linked to Tottenham Hotspur since impressing for the Magpies last season in what was his first full campaign in the Premier League.
Perez, who was signed from the Spanish Liga Adelante, has been scouted by many clubs who are in better positions than Newcastle are at the minute, but he feels that he is better poised playing somewhere that he gets regular opportunities to play.

According to the Shields Gazette, Ayoze dreams of one day playing for Spain, as any young Spanish striker would – but he is keeping his feet on the ground.
I am playing and am getting better. I cannot ask for anything else, because I am happy here. I hope one day I can play for Spain – it will be a dream for me, but I will have to work hard because I am still young.
Newcastle United are firmly in the relegation zone at the moment – and whilst Spurs are making a serious push for the Champions League places, they seem to think that Perez’s services would come in handy. He scored seven league goals for Newcastle last season and arguably kept the Tyneside outfit in the Premier League.
