Spurs Set For Fresh Berahino Bid

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a fresh bid on England hopeful Saido Berahino. It is believed Spurs will offer England winger, Andros Townsend, plus a cash incentive, for the sought after striker. Townsend’s spell at Spurs seems to have come to an end after a recent row with fitness coach Nathan Gardiner. It is reported by the Star on Sunday that the offer of the £12m rated international plus an extra £13m in cash will be enough to land the want-away poacher.

However Townsend will have plenty of offers on the table, as Newcastle United, West Ham United and Southampton are believed to be very keen on signing the pacey 24-year-old. Berahino himself will not be short of options, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle United reportedly vying for the 22-year-olds signature.

Townsend is supposedly desperate to leave Spurs, with an increasing lack of playing time hindering his chances of making Roy Hodgson’s final squad for Euro 2016.

Baggies boss Pulis is thought to like Townsend, with this cash plus player deal this may be Spur’s best chance to land their long-term target.
