Tottenham may have just been put off the potential signing of Palermo midfielder Franco Vazquez after his price tag was set at a whopping £21.5m. Tottenham tried to sign him in the summer, but will they go back in for him at that price?
Vazquez has scored 15 goals in 77 Serie A games for Palermo and has developed a fierce reputation in Italy for his performances, leading to being linked to the likes of Milan, Southampton and Spurs
Born in Argentina, the Italian international currently plays for Palermo in the Serie A, however, was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League. Tottenham and Southampton were two clubs that were thought to have had bids rejected for the attacking midfielder in the summer, and, may want to go back in for him in January.

However, a January move now looks off the cards with this inflated price of £21.5m. Palermo club chairman claimed that it is very likely that Vazquez will leave at the end of the season and that a January move is not on the cards at all.
I can’t sell Vazquez in January, they’d kill me in Palermo.
I know this is the player’s last season with us though, we can’t hold him beyond that.
The way he’s playing, Vazquez is not worth less than £21.5m (€30m).
Did Milan ask for him? Yes, but so have another three or four clubs.
Is Vazquez worth £21.5m?
